Pro-Tech Forest Resource Ltd. has been a valued corporate citizen to Smithers and the surrounding area. Employing 20-30 fulltime staff ranging from Professional Foresters, Forest Technician, GIS Technicians, and Accredited Surveyors. During peak times we will employ up to an additional 60 seasonal staff.

Scott Rowsell |
Mr. Rowsell is the owner and manager of Pro-Tech Forest Resources and oversees all company operations. His work ensures that all projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring that quality standards are not compromised. |

Erin Rowsell |
Mrs. Rowsell is responsible for all accounting matters related to Pro-Tech and its client base. Mrs. Rowsell completed her diploma in Small Business Management in 1999 from the University College of the Caribou in Kamloops, BC. |

Brad Layton, RFT |
Mr. Layton is a long time employee of Pro-Tech ad provides a wealth of expertise and knowledge. He has played a vital role in the development of the current forest health management strategies for our region and is responsible for the development and management of the Pest Management Operations Information System database. |

Jacynthe Parker, RPF, GIS Analyst |
Mrs. Parker is our signing forester and is responsible for the provision of professional services to Pro-Tech’s client base. Her speciality works include Management Plans (Forest Stewardship Plans, Site Plans), Appraisals, Forest Health (diagnosis, management), and GIS Services. She has acquired her Forest Sciences Degree at University of Moncton, NB, and her her GIS Certificate at Sir Sanford Fleming College, ON. Mrs. Parker's experience in the field highly complements her extensive knowledge of GIS, Cartography and Web Design |

Derek Smith, RFT |
Mr. Smith is the primary project manager for works with Houston Forest Products. Mr. Smith’s knowledge base and acquired skills are well put to use with HFP. His dedication to his clients results in a healthy and prosperous relationship, which has translated into an increasing reliance from HFP to conduct their operational development and forest health management projects. |

Sean McLean, RFT |
Mr McLean is the primary project manager for works undertaken with Canadian Forest Products. With over 15 years of experience in operational development throughout northern British Columbia, Mr McLean delivers a quality project on time and on budget. |

Brandy Hughes, FT |
Miss Hughes is responsible for our silviculture department. She is an accredited silviculture surveyor and has worked extensively throughout the province of British Columbia. |

Dave Sicotte, GIS Tech |
Mr. Sicotte is the GIS department manager. He has acquired his GIS training at Okanagan University College in Salmon Arm BC and his Geography Degree at Salmon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. His experience ranges from Surveying, Contract Log Scaling, Drafting, along with a wide range of GIS skills. |

Leah Drescher |
Mrs. Drescher is responsible for all administrative duties, and is highly organized which allows Pro-Tech Forest Resources to operate in a highly efficient manner. In addition to providing administrative and secretarial support for the company, Mrs. Taphorn also manages and processes data collected by our GPS Technicians and Timber Cruising Crews. |
